Contract Research
The knowledge and valuable data obtained from long-term landscape research can also be effectively applied to address specific objectives carried out within the contracted research projects.
- These activities most often include the preparation of expert studies, focused, for example on assessing landscape vulnerability to major risks at high spatial resolution, or on proposing types of adaptation measures that respect both current and modelled future conditions as well as, the key stakeholders’ preferences identified through participatory research methods.
- They also involve the application of original methodologies developed by our team, and the provision of resulting datasets tailored to the client’s needs, including interpretation of the results. Additionally, we provide updated data related to high-resolution habitat mapping of the Czech Republic and other derived products.
Recently, we have implemented, for example, the following contracted research projects/assignments:
- Analysis of landscape resilience to the impacts of environmental change and anthropogenic pressures for selected municipalities in the South Bohemian Region (client: Energy Centre České Budějovice, z.s., 2026)
- Hydromorphological survey and assessment of sections of the Olše River prepared for the designation of a National Nature Monument (client: Nature Conservation Agency of the Czech Republic, 2026)
- Preparation of a background study on supporting standing deadwood in forest stands with a target dominance of European beech in Krkonoše National Park (client: Krkonoše National Park Administration, 2025)
- Mapping and spatial analysis of areas suitable for the development of organic farming in selected localities of the Dolakha region, Nepal (client: Rural Reconstruction Nepal, 2024)
