Meeting of the Working Group on Boundary Waters with Poland

In September, we had the opportunity to present the Czech national methodology for monitoring and assessing the hydromorphological status of watercourses at a meeting of the Working Group on Boundary Waters with Poland in Wrocław. The methodology was developed by the CzechGlobe team in collaboration with the T. G. Masaryk Water Research Institute and Palacký University Olomouc.
The Working Group meets annually to address current issues in the protection and management of Czech-Polish boundary waters and to coordinate joint measures. It was also particularly valuable for us to compare the Czech and Polish approaches to monitoring and assessing the ecological status of watercourses.
