Implementation of the ecosystem services concept into future water management plans (WAMPES)
Project Objectives
- To develop a methodology for assessing the quality of ecosystem services within water bodies, using a combination of freely available datasets and data owned by the participating institutions;
- To support the fulfillment of the objectives of the EU Water Framework Directive and the National Action Plan for Climate Change Adaptation through the concept of ecosystem services;
- To express and present the value of selected, most commonly implemented water management measures through the value of ecosystem services;
- To determine the priorities of key stakeholder groups with respect to water management planning objectives.
