Mapping the Regional Differentiation of the Czech Republic from the Perspective of the Urgency to Implement Climate Change Adaptation Measures (RegAdapt)

The primary objective of the project is to create a regionalized territory in the form of a regional typology that encompasses the entire Czech Republic, from the perspective of landscape vulnerability and the urgency to implement adaptation measures in the landscape. The regional typology will be based on an analysis of an extensive set of input data and will follow the concept of environmental differentiation. The analysis will be carried out on a local scale.

Specific objectives:

  • Identification of the most suitable approaches to assess the urgency for adaptation measures and ways of their integration for the Czech Republic.
  • Identification of appropriate datasets with respect to the defined criteria.
  • Development of a methodological framework for determining landscape vulnerability for the entire Czech Republic at a detailed landscape scale.
  • A series of spatial analyses for individual vulnerability domains.
  • Synthesis of individual assessment criteria and development of the resulting regionalization of the Czech Republic.
