Translation of Knowledge and Transfer of Procedures for Adaptation to Climate Change into Agricultural and Forestry Practice and Public Administration: a Co-creative Approach (TransAdapt)
The main objective of the TransAdapt programme is to rapidly and effectively implement the “Strategy for Adapting to Climate Change under the Conditions of the Czech Republic” and the creation of a system for applying the results of research on climate change impacts to landscape-related activities in the following priority areas:
- Sustainable agriculture.
- Sustainable forest management.
- Landscape water regime and climate-resilient water management.
- Carbon sequestration in forests and non-forest landscapes as a climate change mitigation tool.
- Urbanised landscape.
- Productive (food, timber) and non-productive (biodiversity, soil and water protection) ecosystem services.
- Early warning systems for extreme events, reduction of environmental pressures on the landscape, and monitoring of adverse phenomena threatening food production and environmental quality.
